Today I am about 5825 miles away in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I am privileged to be there representing Elim Sound at an Elim Global conference for South America.

During his trip I will be giving some training to worship musicians from some churches in Brazil. This comes with a very specific challenge… we don’t speak the same language! If I stand up and deliver the sessions as I usually would, then they will not understand what I’m on about (much like a normal Sunday morning with me, I hear you cry)!!

In order to address this challenge, I have spent time, with the help of others, to prepare bilingual presentations for them to look at and I will have someone translating what I say to enable those listening to understand the message. These interpreters need to understand both languages in order to understand one and convey it to another.

As believers we are described as foreigners in this world. We are given the privilege of learning the language of heaven and communicating to the world in a way they can understand.

May we hear God’s voice clearly and effectively communicate His Gospel to our community.

“And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” (Rom 10:14)
