My iPhone 5c finally bit the dust this week… it had been slowly deteriorating but by Wednesday, I could no longer even switch it on – RIP to the trusty 5C!
I found myself unable to contact people whilst out and about… something we are not very used to these days. It was frustrating and somewhat disconcerting to be unreachable and to be unable to reach others with the convenience of my pocket sized device.
Hopefully by the time you are reading this I will have another phone to fill the sizeable void this one left!
I had underestimated the value of being able to call people so easily, but it made me think about how much more I take prayer for granted. I don’t need a mobile phone to speak to God, he is always available anytime and anywhere. I don’t have to pay a contract to access Him, I can simply use ‘pray as you go’ (I know, I know – sorry, I could use iPrayer if you prefer?!)
May we be a people who live in constant contact with our Heavenly Father – knowing that He is always ready and waiting to communicate with us.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
(1 Thessalonians 16-18)
