Most of the work on the building this week has felt long-winded and laborious with plenty of effort not seeming to make a lot of visible difference. This was because most of it has been prep work on the walls and woodwork on the side of the building.
This area is not very visible and the work would go largely unnoticed but as the saying goes ‘to fail to prepare is to prepare to fail.’ If I were to not put the hours into preparing the area properly then the work done will not look good or last well.
You may feel you are in a season that is a lot of hard work and where there is a lack of breakthrough or obvious change. If this is the case, then maybe it’s time to ask what it is that God is preparing you for.
We may feel frustrated or worn out in this season and not know why, but God sees the bigger picture, knows the end from the beginning and is faithful to finish every job He starts!
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
(Philippians 1:6 NIV)
