You may have noted something different about the outside of our building today!

Scaffolding has been put up to enable essential repairs to the fascia and gutters and for us to paint… there is no other way we could realistically get these jobs done. Although we can see the work that needs doing, we simply couldn’t gain safe access to the high areas in order to do the work. You can even get a beautiful view from the roof up there!

I wonder if there is any work that needs doing in our spiritual lives for which we need to give access to God or to people who can help us?

Perhaps we can see some of what needs doing, but it’s not until we decide to put some spiritual scaffolding up that the healing work of God can be done. Perhaps we even need help from others to see what needs doing. This may mean a coffee with a respected leader, a day away somewhere to meet with God or perhaps something like a freedom in Christ course.

May we be people who find ways to give God, and others who can help, access to those areas of our hearts that need healing or developing.

“… if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)
